SILVIA TCHERASSI

A true trailblazer, innovator, and trendsetter, Silvia Tcherassi is one of the leading figures in fashion. She has been awarded one of France’s highest honors - the Officier de L’Ordre Arts et Lettres, a distinction bestowed on leaders of the international arts community for their “contribution and commitment to cultural service. Her eponymous brand, founded in 1987 alongside her mother, Vera, is celebrated for its sculptural, feminine silhouettes that fuse Latin American vibrancy with refined international elegance.

The “pioneer of the Latin flair” was born in Columbia, on the shores of the Caribbean. Tcherassi began her career as an interior designer, but the search for new artistic expressions led her into fashion. Her collections have been presented during the Milan and New York Fashion Weeks, and she is known for thoughtful, purpose-driven initiatives, like her Spring/Summer 2022 charity runway in Punta Cana, benefitting Save the Children. 

Beyond the runway, Tcherassi is also the creative force behind Tcherassi Hotels, and is the author of the book “Elegancia sin Esfuerzo.” Tcherassi continues to craft a legacy that blends artistry, business acumen, and cultural pride, solidifying her as a key figure in the global fashion conversation.
